I quite simply could not get past the appeal of this child's expression and body language, imploring and hopeful at the same time -- and I would not be surprised to learn that the photographer left with a fish that s/he then had to figure out what to do with :) The exposure (which some will call over- but which I choose to see as high key) and the desaturated, washed-out tones contribute a sun-bleached look that complements the scene.
